Christian Nationalists Weaponize Military with Armageddon Fever Over Iran Strikes
Interview with Mikey Weinstein, founder/president, Military Religious Freedom Foundation
On this episode of the Rick Smith Show, Mikey Weinstein, founder of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF), warns listeners of fundamentalist Christian nationalism infiltrating the U.S. military post Trump’s Iran strikes. Over 110 troops from 30 bases reported commanders framing “Operation Epic Fury” as biblical prophecy, Trump “anointed by Jesus” to ignite Revelation’s end times, with a 200-mile river of blood signaling Christ’s return.
Systemic Supremacy Push
Weinstein, Reagan White House counsel and Air Force Academy grad with three AFA alumni kids, calls it “pervasive as gravity” 95% of MRFF’s 100K+ clients are Christians harassed for insufficient zealotry. SecDef Pete Hegseth (”Kegseth”) enforces a “de facto religious test” only straight white fundamentalist males approved violating Article VI’s no-religious-test clause and First Amendment. Hegseth’s monthly Pentagon “Jesus praise” with Doug Wilson (who praises slavery, bars women from voting/leadership) streams duty-day, uniform-mandatory.
Apocalyptic Indoctrination
Post-strikes, commanders euphorically brief units, Iran war fulfills eschatology, echoing Gen. Boykin’s AR-15 Jesus. Weinstein decries it as Gilead theocracy (Handmaid’s Tale-style), dehumanizing Muslims/Jews/LGBTQ+ as deicidal/slave-justifying foes. Japanese reporter analogized to Shinto-fueled 1930s militarism, it’s the ninth Crusade, propaganda gold for ISIS/Al Qaeda, eroding lethality via shattered cohesion.
Fight or Flood of Blood
Civics illiterate brass prioritize “weaponized Jesus” over oaths, risking oceans of blood like Crusades. Action antidote, contact MRFF (505-250-7727/mrff.org) for whistleblowers; bombard Congress; reject despair. Weinstein lives guarded, threats, attacks routine, but vows militancy: “Fly the plane into the mountaintop.” Even good Christians must enforce time/place/manner limits—no superior proselytizing subordinates. Impeachment/civil war loom, but democratic pushback offers hope, if we act.

Mikey was really fired up in that chat!
Christian nationalism has also been called Christo-fascism, a militant movement seeking a Christian theocracy. It was founded in Christian Dominionism and radical Calvinism. They are dangerous religious bigots with a nasty self-righteousness.
